In 2018, Cllr Jean Gillies met a developer who wanted to invest in Farnworth, and she immediately passed them onto Bolton Council’s Regeneration Team. They, in turn, put them in touch with the owners of the old Miller House site. This building had become a blight due to anti-social behaviour.
