✓ Labour will protect and expand our Children’s Centres.
✓ We will strive to maintain Bolton as “one of the best in the country for protecting vulnerable children”.
✓ Maintain the Council’s “Good” Ofsted rated Children’s Services.
✓ Improve the health of our young people, by delivering a balanced diet throughout the school day with our free breakfast clubs, and subsidised school meals, which remain among the most affordable in the country.
✓ Guarantee that Labour’s swimming sessions remain free to all children who live in the Borough.
✓ Protect our youth club provision, play sessions and community sports development, and further develop the leisure offer delivered from our centres across the borough.
✓ Maintain our libraries and Neighbourhood Collection Services.
✓ Continue to promote local events and our tourism economy, and our good record in investing in ‘arts and culture’ in the borough, with our revamped Museum and our Octagon Theatre redevelopment.
