Have Your Say on Bolton’s Future: Budget Consultation Now Open

Bolton Labour is committed to putting our community first, even during challenging times. As your Labour-led council, we’re working hard to balance the books while protecting the vital services that matter most to residents.

To help shape the borough’s future, we are asking residents, businesses, and organisations to share their views on Bolton Council’s budget proposals for 2025-2027. These proposals aim to address an £8.2m financial gap, and your input will help us make the tough decisions that lie ahead.

Why Your Voice Matters

We know that council budgets have been under increasing pressure after years of reduced funding from central government. Despite these challenges, Bolton Labour has fought hard to deliver for our borough—investing in town centre regeneration, supporting vulnerable residents, and improving public services.

Now, we need your help to ensure every decision reflects the priorities of our communities. This is your chance to tell us what matters most to you and how we can protect and improve essential services in the years ahead.

What’s Being Considered?

A range of options are being reviewed to make the necessary savings while minimising the impact on frontline services. These include:

•Improving efficiency in how services are delivered.

•Reviewing spending across departments.

•Exploring innovative ways to support our communities with fewer resources.

How to Have Your Say

Your feedback is vital. Whether you’re a resident, a local business owner, or part of a community organisation, we want to hear from you.

🗓️ The consultation closes at midday on January 6, 2025—don’t miss your chance to contribute.
