Gaynor Cox

Gaynor has lived in Bromley Cross for over 20 years. She grew up in Turton District and attended Turton High School. Gaynor was a single mother, living in a Council house for 6 years, while working and studying for an Honours degree with the Open University. Gaynor has nearly 30 years’ experience of working in various legal, housing, creative and community engagement roles in local government and community & voluntary sectors, predominantly in Bolton. She is a Technician and Treasurer for local charity Bolton Newstalk, who produce a regular talking newspaper for visually impaired people in Bolton. She has also been a union member for most of her working life and has been a Unison Steward and Health & Safety Rep for nearly five years. If Gaynor is elected she will use her knowledge, experience and connections to serve local residents, challenge injustice, protect our local environment, provide more opportunities for young people, and oppose further private and commercial development in the Ward. Gaynor will bring honesty, integrity, traditional labour values and a willingness to work hard for our community.
